Heaven on earth
Udine
Da viele Staus auf der Autobahn unsere Rückfahrt beschwerlich gestaltet haben, haben wir uns entschieden, in Udine, im Nordosten Italiens, zu übernachten. Welch eine schöne Überraschung: Die Stadt ist wunderschön!
As there were too many traffic congestions on our way back, we stopped at Udine in north-eastern Italy, in the middle of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, between the Adriatic Sea and the Alps. We loved the city centre!
Comme il y a eu des kilometres de bouchon sur l´autoroute pendant notre retour, nous avons décidé de passer la nuit à Udine dans le Nord-Est de l´Italie, pas loin de la frontière de la Slovénie et de l´Autriche. Quelle belle ville !

Hiking in the Piedmont Region – From Madonna del Lago (1100 m) to Colle San Bartolomeo (1446 m)
The lake at Madonna del Lago offers a habitat to critically endangered newts comprising triturus alpestris apuanis and the anuran pelodytes punctatuss. This region in the Alps is also known as a place of resistance against the fascists.

Der kleine See beherbergt vom Aussterben bedrohte Molcharten wie den triturus alpestris apuanis sowie den Froschlurch Pelodytes punctatus. Diese Gegend in den Alpen ist außerdem bekannt als Ort der Resistenza gegen die Faschisten. Hier starb 1944 der Partisan und Arzt Felice Cascione, Autor des Liedes „Fischia il vento“.
Il lago Madonna del Lago in provincial di Cuneo ospita il raro tritone appenninico (triturus alpestris apuanis) e sono state rivenute delle larve del rarissimo Pelotite (Pelodytes punctatus), uno degli anfibi a più elevato rischio di estinzione.

Blüten an der Iulia Augusta – einer im Jahr 13 v.Chr. erbauten Römerstraße, die die Ligurische Küste mit den gallischen Häfen verband. Der Trakt zwischen Albenga und Alassio, an dem sich auch römische Gräber befinden, wurde 1937 freigelegt und kann wieder bewandert werden.
Fiori lungo la Via Julia Augusta fra Albenga e Alassio – una via consolare romana la cui costruzione iniziò nel 13 a.C. Un tratto di strada lastricata è stata riportata alla luce nel 1937.
