Gestern habe ich Rehe in der Schneelandschaft gesehen – heute sind ihre eleganten Sprünge schon im Aquarell gebannt. Ich male oft das, was mir kurz zuvor begegnet ist.

Meine Lieblingshäuser in Bad Birnbach – Letztens habe ich die alte Glaserei Betz erwähnt, nun habe ich das wunderschöne Holzhaus in der Hofmark 17 gemalt. Es handelt sich um den Wohnteil eines ehemaligen Bauernhofs sowie um ein angrenzendes Ziegelgebäude. Jetzt im Herbst hat sich der rankende Wein an den Fassaden romantisch rot gefärbt.
Ich liebe dieses Gebäude mitten im Ort, weil es von niederbayerischer Tradition erzählt und viel Charme besitzt. Die leicht verwitterten Holzschindeln des Wohnhauses, die kleinen Sprossenfenster, der Ziegelbau mit rotem Dach und Holztreppe, die alte Schwengelpumpe an der Ecke, der Kirchturm im Hintergrund – all das finde ich romantisch und berührend. Ich freue mich, dass solche schönen Gebäude in der Ortsmitte weiterhin ihre Geschichte erzählen dürfen. Das Anwesen ist in der Liste der Baudenkmäler aufgeführt.
EN: My favorite houses in Bad Birnbach – Recently I mentioned the old glassworks; now I’ve painted the beautiful wooden house at Hofmark 17. It’s the residential part of a former farmhouse, connected to a brick building. This autumn, the climbing vines have turned a romantic shade of red.
I love this house in the heart of town – it speaks of Lower Bavarian tradition and has undeniable charm. The weathered wooden shingles, the small mullioned windows, the red-tiled brick wing with its wooden staircase, the old hand pump at the corner, and the church tower rising behind it – all of it feels romantic and deeply moving. I’m grateful that such buildings still stand and share their stories. The property is officially listed as a historic monument.
