Goldene Augen und viel Neugierde: die Kattas im Tierpark
Nur etwa 25 km von Bad Birnbach entfernt liegt ein Tierpark, den wir bisher nie besucht hatten. Heute waren wir dort – und wir haben es wirklich nicht bereut! Entlang eines Rundwegs durch einen Park voller wunderbarer, teils exotischer Pflanzen, von denen einige aus dem Reiffenstuel‑Arboretum stammen, konnten wir unzählige Vogel- und Tierarten aus aller Welt bewundern.
Und ich verrate auch gleich, welche mich am meisten fasziniert haben: der ‚Lachende Hans‘ (Australiens Nationalvogel), die gut gelaunten Kattas, die mir goldene Blicke zuwarfen, und die Roten Ibisse. Glaube ich… Oder vielleicht doch eher die grasenden Schildkröten oder die sich balgenden Erdmännchen? Ich weiß es nicht!
Jedenfalls fühlte es sich an wie eine Reise auf eine exotische Insel. Wichtig ist auch: Die Tiere wirken gesund und zufrieden. Ein Besuch ist für alle jungen und alten Kinder, die gerne staunen, absolut empfehlenswert!
Nimmersatt
EN: Only about 25 km from my hometown Bad Birnbach lies a wildlife park we had never visited before. Today we finally went — and it was absolutely worth it. Along a circular path through a park full of wonderful, partly exotic plants, some originating from the Reiffenstuel Arboretum, we were able to admire countless bird and animal species from all over the world.
And I’ll tell you which ones fascinated me the most: the laughing kookaburra (Australia’s national bird), the cheerful ring‑tailed lemurs who threw golden glances my way, and the scarlet ibises. Or was it the grazing tortoises… or the playful meerkats? I’m not sure.
Either way, it felt like a journey to a far‑off tropical island. And most importantly: the animals look healthy and content. A visit is highly recommended for all children — young and old — who love to marvel.
Letztens bin ich mit einer Freundin bei Bad Griesbach über die Hügel gewandert. Wir hatten einen weiten Blick über geometrisch wirkende Rapsfelder und Wälder, über die ein Schatten ging.

Ich hab hier versucht, Eleonore von Aquitanien darzustellen, die im 12. Jahrhundert sowohl Königin von Frankreich als auch Königin von England war. Sie wird auch „Königin der Troubadoure“ genannt. Eine faszinierende und mächtige Frauenfigur aus dem Mittelalter.

FR: J’ai ici représenté Aliénor d’Aquitaine, cette femme exceptionnelle qui fut au XIIᵉ siècle d’abord reine de France, puis reine d’Angleterre. Surnommée la “reine des troubadours”, elle demeure l’une des figures les plus fascinantes et influentes du Moyen Âge. J´ai écouté le podcast à son sujet sur France Culture pendant que je peignais.
